Nordic trails, Girdwood: Forest- Picked Alaska and Early blueberries. Enough berries are ripe to go picking, but plenty are still green. Trailing black currants and trailing raspberries are plentiful and almost ripe. Perfect watermelon berries, elderberries, and reddening highbush cran plentiful here (like everywhere). In the meadows- cloudberries are plentiful and perfect/tasty! Really good bog blueberries too. Bog cranberries red but not ripe.

Swamp land, Houston: Picked perfect blueberries. Perfect timberberries and bunchberries all around, super happy this year (actually tasty). Lowbush cranberry (half red/green) look super good and plentiful this year.

Kincaid Park, Anchorage: Lots of raspberries, elderberries, and watermelon berries ready for picking.

Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge, Wasilla: Lots of perfect nagoonberries! Also ripe black currants and a few good red currants still. Highbush cranberry early red.

Hatcher Pass, Fishhook: Black bearberries half green/blue. Crowberries have small green berries in some areas. Lowbush cranberry flowering. Nagoonberries flowering. Lots of blooming wildflowers in general, pink, yellow etc. Lots of white heather flowers, king’s crown.

Swamp land, Big Lake: Lots of (green) bog and lowbush cranberries, some starting to redden. Crowberries are tart but pickable. Most cloudberries are half ripe. Blueberries have some green some ripe.

Marsh land, Big Lake: Lots of bog cranberries this year! Bright green and big. Some blueberries ready, lots still green. Berries seem big/juicy this year.

Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge, Wasilla: Lots of perfect red currants. Black currants half green/blue with a few ripe. Some perfect nagoonberries, others not ripe yet. Green raspberries.
