Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge, Wasilla: Lots of perfect red currants. Black currants half green/blue with a few ripe. Some perfect nagoonberries, others not ripe yet. Green raspberries.

Matanuska River Park, Palmer: Highbush cranberries have big green berries. Serviceberries are half green/blue.
June 1
Woods: Wasilla: found lots of very happy/good morels to get. Highbush cran, lowbush cran, and watermelon berries flowering. Rose blooms just starting. I’ve seen them fully out blooming in other Valley places.
May 28
Swamp land, Big Lake: Gathered lots of good very big/tender spruce tips which are everywhere. Elderberries and raspberries flowering. Red and black currants flowering too. Also bluebells, etc.

Swamp land, Big Lake: Fiddlehead ferns are ready. Maybe some past-due, but still good ones to pick.

Fairbanks: Official Chena Ridge greenup day. Also highest temperature of the year for Fairbanks, 82°F.
August 17
Crow Creek Road, Girdwood: Picked some highbush blueberries (early and alaska.) Some ready, others not ripe. Not a great year. Too late for salmonberries. Many trailing raspberries, some ripe and others overripe and mushed.
August 15
Woods, Wasilla: picked lots of ripe highbush cranberries. Basically nice berries, most ripe enough.
August 6
Woods, Wasilla: Picked lots more watermelon berries from powerline trails. Some getting overripe.

Ester Dome, Ester: Picked highbush cranberries (still tart) before the rain wrecks them. Also picked some ripe rosehips.
