Marsh land, Big Lake: Cloudberries are perfect for picking, good flavor. Blueberries ready too. Plants all have happy leaves but not many berries per plant. Dry conditions, with record breaking heat earlier in July for Southcentral.

Murphy Dome, Fairbanks: Blueberries are still green. Paltry this year. Also few lowbush cranberries. Bunchberries just changing from flower to berry. Crowberries are ripe and okay.

Ester Dome, Ester: Red currants are red but tart still. Some raspberries are ready but sickly this year. Highbush cranberry berries are beginning to redden. Green rosehips.

Swamp land, Big Lake: Fireweed is flowering. Lots of nice red currants; berries are green and beginning to ripen.
