Marsh land, Big Lake: Cloudberries are perfect for picking, good flavor. Blueberries ready too. Plants all have happy leaves but not many berries per plant. Dry conditions, with record breaking heat earlier in July for Southcentral.

Woods, Wasilla: Picked tons of watermelon berries off of powerline trails. Many ripe, others still not ready.

Gold Hill, Ester: People starting to harvest some of their wild strawberry spinach.

Ester Dome, Ester: Picked red currants. Not that many, but nice. Rosehips starting to ripen.

Murphy Dome, Fairbanks: Blueberries are still green. Paltry this year. Also few lowbush cranberries. Bunchberries just changing from flower to berry. Crowberries are ripe and okay.

Fairbanks: 88°F highest temperature of the year.

Ester Dome, Ester: Red currants are red but tart still. Some raspberries are ready but sickly this year. Highbush cranberry berries are beginning to redden. Green rosehips.

Fish Creek, Knik: Lots of ripe red currants. Some watermelon berries.

Swamp land, Big Lake: Fireweed is flowering. Lots of nice red currants; berries are green and beginning to ripen.

Swamp land, Big Lake: Picked lots of very nice watermelon berries and red currants. Also domesticated raspberries are doing awesome.
