Resurrection Pass Trail, Hope: Lots of red currants, watermelon berries, and trailing raspberries. High and lowbush cranberries are half ripe. Tons of baneberry, blooming purple and white flowers like monkshead, jacob’s ladder, cow parsnip, etc.
June 1
Big Lake: Arctic starflower are blooming like crazy everywhere. They’re especially good this year. Lots of dogwood too. Cloudberries are flowering still. Many roses blooming. It’s been hot and dry.
July 26
Matanuska River Park, Palmer: Lots of really good red currants. Very tasty and ripe. Lots of half ripe highbush cranberry. Some nice watermelon berries. Also lots of soapberry and baneberry around. Also rosehips ready.

Peters Creek: Watermelon berries good, pretty big, but still green on a few plants.
September 2
Carlo Creek, Cantwell/Denali Park: On trails into alpine areas. Some of the best red currants I’ve seen, growing like grapes in a vineyard. Ripe and delicious and incredibly plentiful. Many ripe blueberries, juicy but not as tasty as the Fairbanks berries. Many ripe crowberries and other alpine berries.
August 17
Swamp land, Goldstream, Fairbanks: Absolutely perfect and tons of blueberries in the black spruce.
August 9
Quartz Lake, Delta Junction: Picked black currants, red currants, raspberries, coltsfoot, highbush cranberry. Other berries ripe.
July 22
Ester Dome, Ester: Picked a ton of mostly blue, also crowberries, raspberries, red bearberry, nagoonberries. Got a few cloudberries too but they’re overripe and squishy.
July 21
Ester Dome, Ester: Picked tons of blueberries. Many ripe some still not ripe. Also lots of nagoonberries! Lots of lowbush cranberry this year, not ripe yet. Quite a few ripe raspberries. Saw ripe crowberries, cloudberries, timberberries, soapberries.
July 17
Creamer’s Field, Fairbanks: Picked blueberries, cloudberries, and nagoonberries. Black currants are half ripe. Still strawberries in the fields.
